  1. Hi I am a security officer I work at night, can you name a hand held flash light between 60 and 100 lumens that can throw a pencil beam of light about 60 yards. All ideas and comments welcome

    • Hey Charles!
I asked one of our customer service reps what he thought, and here’s what he had to say:

“The OLight S10 is an awesome little light with a surprising amount of power. Its small size makes it perfect for carrying in the pocket and it also has a little magnet on the tail cap which makes it nice if you needed to take a look under the hood of your car at night. Personally my favorite light of all time is the Fenix PD35. Great size, light weight, takes either 2 CR123A’s or 1 18650 battery, has multiple brightness settings including strobe, tail cap operation, pocket clip (removable if that’s not your thing) and this bad boy goes up to 850 lumens if you need it to. Which is a crazy ridiculous amount of light for that little light. It also comes with a nice nylon belt sheath which could be nice to put on a duty belt for a security officer. OLight and Fenix are my two favorite brands for flashlights. Well built, long lasting, good on the batteries, and have an awesome warranty program IF you ever needed it.”

You can find these at http://www.BladeHQ.com . Please let us know if you need anything else!

  2. I am trying to locate the manufacturer or distributor of Protech streamlight flashlights for the purpose of getting parts for a particular model.

    • Hey Kent!
The number I was able to find on Streamlight’s website is 1-800-523-7488. Their warranty department should be able to help you out with any replacement parts or warranty issues.

  3. November 11, 2011 Thank you for the sensible crituqie. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research about this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
